Pick one from Files with +, use “Open with Packet”, share it to Packet, or publish from your Mac.

Installs straight from the cloud

Download on demand with progress; every copy is sha256-verified before it's kept or installed.

  • Install, Update, Open — right from the list, with silent updates on Android 12 and later.
  • Update all — one tap when several apps have new versions.
  • “Field Notes 2.1 is ready” — a background check every 15 minutes, with optional auto-download on WiFi.
  • Signer check — “Different key — Android will refuse this update” before you try.
Packet on iPhone

Keeps a copy, hands it over

iOS can't install APKs, so Packet on iPhone is the carrier: it keeps a copy on demand and passes it to an Android phone.

  • Send over WiFi — your iPhone serves the APK on your network; the Android phone scans a QR code and downloads it in its browser.
  • Link code — the WiFi link carries a short secret, and a wrong code gets nothing.
  • Share sheet — AirDrop, Mail and more; several files can go as one zip.
  • Know when your apps update — push notifications and an app-icon badge.

  • Package and version — package id, versionName and versionCode.
  • Android targets — min, target and compile SDK, and native ABIs.
  • Permissions — the full list, with sensitive ones flagged.
